Paul Fort letters, postcards, and poem, 1906-1937.

The collection includes a one-page autograph manuscript signed poem, "La France;" seven letters to Pierre Gompel concerning "Poèmes de France," a bi-monthly lyric bulletin of the war; two letters to Arthur Fontaine; one letter each to Françoise, Edouard, and to Joseph Uzanne; a calling card to Jourdain-Gassin; six letters to various unnamed correspondents discussing poetry and the price of paper during the war. In a long letter dated 4 August 1922, probably written to Piette Gompel, Fort relates the story of how he was swindled by an agent who had arranged a lecture tour through France and Switzerland.
